September in Queen Creek is the month the community has been waiting for. Arizona's summer heat begins to ease — not completely, but enough — and the town's event calendar comes back to life with the kind of family-friendly gatherings and civic celebrations that have made Queen Creek one of the Valley's most actively programmed communities.
Upcoming September Events
Founders' Day falls on September 19, 2026 — Queen Creek's signature annual community celebration at Frontier Family Park. The event features family-friendly activities, vendors, an FFA Zone with agricultural experiences, and the Battle of the Badge relay-style competitions between public safety departments. It is the most distinctly Queen Creek event on the calendar, reflecting the town's agricultural heritage and its growing community character simultaneously.
The Garlic Fest at Queen Creek Olive Mill runs September 19–20, celebrating 13 years of the annual garlic festival with organically grown estate garlic in five varieties, a garlic-inspired menu, and two weekends of community activity at one of the Queen Creek area's most distinctive local producers. The Queen Creek Olive Mill's farmstead setting makes this one of the most genuinely local agricultural festival experiences in the East Valley.
The East Valley Chambers Workforce Hiring Event on Thursday, September 3 connects East Valley employers including Queen Creek, Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa, and Tempe businesses with job seekers in a collaborative regional workforce event at Rio Salado College Conference Center.
Business Promotions Heading Into Fall
Queen Creek's over 220 active communities and its growing Schnepf Farms and Queen Creek Marketplace commercial corridors typically launch fall menus, harvest-season promotions, and back-to-outdoor-activity deals through September. Local businesses in the town center and Pecos Road corridor are worth checking directly for September specials.
Community Highlights
Queen Creek Unified School District's school year is fully underway by September, and the town's residential neighborhoods return to their school-year community rhythm. The town's agricultural heritage is on full display during September's harvest events, connecting Queen Creek's newest residents to the land-based character that defines the community's identity.
